This project has been quite challenging for a variety of reasons, with the most important being Covid-19 situation and how plans had to be adapted during development. Originally I planned to take professional pictures of my product, or in fact hire a photographer to do it for me, however due to the Social Distancing rule in place I was unable to do that. I had to use online mockups and clever photo manipulation to achieve a passable effect, and I am still not happy with the quality of the mockups. This delays the launch of the campaign too - first and foremost, mockups don’t truly represent what players will obtain when backing the project. Secondly, I am unable to host a physical launch event and playtest the game with local board game clubs. This I managed to alleviate through online sources - a game called Tabletop Simulator allows authors to input a board game into a digital simulation and play it with other people online. Other than that, I have tried to execute the best graphic design possible as backed up by extensive research into not only other Kickstarter campaigns but also other websites and products. I believe I have provided a suitable response to the previously designed brief and created a website to the best of my ability. A large portion of the website is still in development, but I expect it to be finished by the time I can launch my campaign. I am particularly happy about exploring the watercolour effect further to reinforce the feeling of “fine art“ in this mostly digital campaign. I think such a use of mixed media can furthey convey the message this game is putting across as well as it’s image. Designing a website was an interesting challenge as well - to do that, I have used a Wix.com platform, which provided invaluable help in making sure the website looks professional, slick and simple. All in all I consider this project to be a great success despite major setbacks, and I cannot wait for the day when the campaign will go live and become fruitious. Oskar Potocki
